Futurism
Futurism began in France and it didn’t really emerge until 1911. Futurism was focused around speed, unlike cubism they were focused on line, shape and colour. They used to overlap and redraw certain bits so that you could see the speed they were trying to show in the painting.
The Russians Also did futurism and it was a lot more drastic then the Italians. They did use knifes or forks because they thought it would spoil the taste of their food. They disliked everything natural and wanted a new world where everything was fake almost and made from machines.
I personally think that these people sound very small minded and I feel sorry for them because even know they was looking into the future and looking into how the world could change. They just seemed really unhappy and horrible people to be around. But even know they seemed like horrible horrific people because I believed that war was good and that millions of people dying for their country were okay they created some really lovely pieces of work.
